In this year 2010 it is the focus, goal, and objective of Rising In God's Love Ministries to challenge and encourage our "faith walk" with God, through Jesus Christ. We will be challenged to release our faith to its ULTIMATE POTENTIAL:
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phillipians 4:13).
In order to achieve such a goal, we are challenged throughout the year to remove the boundaries and limits, such as doubts, fears and negativity that are surrounding our faith. We are to strive to allow our faith to bring us into the presence of the awesomeness of God who offers to us ultimate and phenomenal favor and blessings. To realize that we must keep in mind that,
Ultimate Faith = Ultimate Favor
Awesome Faith = Awesome Blessings
Extreme Faith = Extreme Outcomes
Our year of practicing a "Faith Without Limits" begins with the acceptance and practice of three biblical truths:
Promise - God's promises are without limits
Prophesy - God's prophesies are without boundaries
Provision - God's provisions are without measure.
These three truths are the thread and foundation of our study within each teaching and preaching opportunity afforded us in worship, bible study, Christian Education, workshops, seminars, and the like, throughout 2010.
So as you board this Starship Enterprise called
"Rising In God's Love Ministries" get ready for a journey to go where your faith has never gone before .... for we are:
"Taking Our Faith To Its Outer Limits"
Second Baptist Church of Paterson, New Jersey is made up of various ministries
that seek to address the individual and collective needs of its members and
surrounding community. Our primary objective is to minister and be ministered to
in mind, body, soul and spirit through in-depth preaching, teaching, evangelism
and witnessing the anointed Word of God through Jesus Christ.
The church's five-fold mission is as follows:
- Worship- to bring people to know and lift the name of Jesus in
worship and praise.
- Fellowship - to promote Christian fellowship encouraging one another to love and practice good works.
- Devotion - to encourage the practice of weekly family devotion in the home.
- Discipleship - to nurture mature and active disciples for Christ.
- Evangelism - to go out and make disciples of others
The vision of Second Baptist is stated as:
"A commitment to Educate, Train and Build Ourselves and Our Communities ~ Seeking God First."
The church's ultimate calling is to first know, understand,
dedicate their lives to, and serve God. The scriptural basis of this
statement is taken from
Matthew 6:33: "But seek ye first the kingdom of
God and His righteous; and all these things shall be added unto you."
Our
church is committed to providing resources, opportunities and services that will
educate, train and revitalize its people and communities.
